About Me
Craig S. Tunks is an experienced Information Systems Director, computer operator, developer, and network and systems administrator. His contributions to public and private organizations include the development and integration of corporate intranets, LAN and WAN development and administration, creation of World Wide Web sites, supervision of technical and education staff and development of educational material including training and curriculum-based instruction material.
As a professional, Craig has worked at both state and national levels. He has facilitated conferences for the New York State Teachers Center Association, The International Conference on Technology and Education (ICTE), The National Teachers Association, and The National School Business Administrators Association.
Craig's has his Master of Science in Computer Science Degree from Long Island University, NY. As well as a Doctorate in Education from Kennedy Western University. The basis for his management style and success comes from his education – in particular his Bachelors in Psychology – but most importantly from his experience and training in the “One Minute Manager” management style.
Craig's educational expertise is in school management, program and curriculum design and technology implementation. He is knowledgeable in educational working environments, program adaptation for student learning styles, developmental learning facilitation, planning and managing the teaching and learning process, monitoring and assessment, quality assurance and continuous improvement, and professional skills development.
Craig is active in the community. In his hometown, Craig was a Crisis Intervention Counselor for the Rockland County Department of Mental Health. Craig is also active with The Museum of Natural History in New York's educational programs and is a member of the Museum of Natural History Society and the Junior Advisory Council. |
What I do for Monroe?
I oversee the Monroe Technology Department team. This team supports the technology in the Town of Monroe including the Board of Education, town municipal departments, police department and other services.
